base can mean many things, to many people. To me, it means:
- building the aerobic foundation for the coming season (base training): dreaming of warm summer days spent cycling (preferably in the Swiss or French mountains), when in reality I’m fixing punctures in some desolate Yorkshire country lane in the middle of nowhere…in January;
- more relevant to the product, it relates to adding an alkaline (i.e., a base) to an acid, neutralising it (I was quite pleased with that one);
- the “+” in base logo refers to my Swiss side. Having lived and worked in Switzerland for 6 years, really cultivating a love for long rides through the Swiss Alps (fueled by Rivella and Ricola – probably explains my poor teeth), I still have a huge affinity to the country, the food, and the people.
Hopefully, that fleshes out the base story a little. As always, drop me a line if you want to know more!
